Rocket lake vs zen 311/7/2023 ![]() ![]() However, the high-end i9 Rocket Lake CPU will be only 8 Cores and 16 Threads compared to the 10 Cores and 20 Threads of the i9-10900K. One of the main features of Rocket Lake that we all know of is PCIe 4.0 support. I plan on getting an RTX 3090, which is obviously a PCIe 4.0 GPU. My main concerns are Core/Thread count and PCIe support. By the time I'm ready to build, I'm sure that Rocket Lake will be out and Alder Lake may not be too far off by then. As of right now (December 2020), I have the i9-10900K on my parts list. However, I'm going back and forth on the CPU. I'm planning to build my first/dream PC in the first half of 2021 (June at the latest).
